Trupti’s research focuses on improving carbon and water flux estimations by integrating vertical and horizontal canopy structural attributes using LiDAR in land surface modeling. She analyzes high-resolution remote sensing data to better characterize vegetation structure and its role in ecosystem functioning. Her work enhances forest canopy representation in models, leading to more accurate predictions of energy, water, and carbon exchanges, with applications in climate modeling, environmental monitoring, and ecosystem management. Trupti is a PMRF Fellow.
