Remote Sensing Ecohydrology Lab

Exploring Terrestrial Water and Carbon Cycle Across Scales

Our research broadly focuses on high-resolution remote sensing, ecohydrology, and the coupled carbon and water cycles in terrestrial ecosystems, integrating both data-driven and physically process-based modeling approaches. Specifically, our current work explores the potential of high spatial and spectral resolution satellite remote sensing for improving the characterization of the composition, structure, and functioning of terrestrial forest and agricultural ecosystems. Additionally, we are actively engaged in assimilating high-resolution remotely sensed observations into inversion frameworks coupled with process-based models to enhance our understanding of the dynamics governing coupled water and carbon cycles in terrestrial ecosystems under various environmental stressors.
