Research Interests

My research focuses on developing numerical frameworks to assess and improve the safety of critical infrastructure under static and dynamic loads.

My current research focus is on nonlinear soil-structure interaction and its effects on the seismic behaviour of embedded structures and tunnels. Another current research thrust is towards development of nonlinear acoustic meta-materials that can effectively shield structures from seismic waves.
