Research Interests

My research interests lie in a broad area that is best termed “interfacial solid mechanics”, including contact mechanics,  adhesion, indentation, and large strain plasticity in metals processing (deformation processing, machining) with a focus on  polycrystalline aggregates.

The recent efforts of my research group include a push to develop enabling tools (solvers, meshers) to conduct first-in-class simulations in some of these areas. I am also interested in non standard continua and computational plasticity.
