Research Interests

Nanjunda Rao’s research interest and contributions are in the broad areas of:

1. development of elastic, isogeometric and approximate higher order theories and solutions for analysis of composite laminated beam, plate and shell structures,
2. static and dynamic behaviour of concrete and masonry structures,
3. use FRP and other textile fabric systems for repair and retrofit of masonry and concrete structures and
4. alternative building materials and techniques.

His current interests are in development of products for civil engineering construction utilizing cost effective and environmental friendly materials and seismic vulnerability assessment of masonry and concrete structures.
