Research Interests

Prof. D. Nagesh Kumar’s research interests include Climate Hydrology, Water Resources Systems, Climate Change Impact on Water Resources, ANN, Evolutionary Algorithms, Fuzzy Logic, MCDM and Remote Sensing & GIS applications in Water Resources.

He has published more than 200 papers in leading international journals and conferences. He has also co-authored five text books. He is the Editor-in-Chief of “H2 Open Journal” (IWA Publishing, UK), and Associate Editor for ASCE Journal of Hydrologic Engg. He received IBM faculty award in 2012 for his outstanding research in the field of modeling hydrologic extremes using microwave remote sensing.

He has guided 12 PhDs (+7 in progress) and mentored 8 Post-Docs.
