Research Interests
Our group works in the broad area of multiscale modelling of cementitious systems. We specialize in thermodynamic modelling, microstructural modelling, and service life modelling of cementitious systems. Our current focus is on the following areas:

Multi-blended cements and low-carbon binders,

Durability of concrete,

Thermodynamic and service life modeling,

Reactivity of supplementary cementitious materials (SCMs),

Microstructure and transport in concrete, and,

Developing sustainable performance-engineered concrete.
Our goal is to develop tools to predict the performance of concrete structures and to develop sustainable building materials aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations and meet India’s climate goals. We are interested in lab-to-field research, i.e., translating our research to field applications of commercial and social relevance to India.
