Divergence is a newly acquired 80 core, 5 node (5 x 2 x 8) compute cluster with Intel Xeon 2650v2 (Ivy Bridge) processors with 20MB L3-cache. One node serves as a master / general purpose node, and the other four are compute nodes. Each node has 64 GB of DDR3-1600 ECC RAM, giving 4 GB RAM / core. The nodes are interconnected using a QDR (40 Gbps) Infiniband interface. The master node has 16 TB SATA HDD storage (7200 rpm), and the compute nodes have 1 TB each.

Divergence is a Rocks v6.1 Linux Cluster. Job scheduling is via Torque / PBS. The parallel programming environment is OpenMPI.
