Personal Details

I am born in Narsipatnam, Vizag District, Andhra Pradesh state (popular for e-governance), India, in 1963 (Sagittarian).

Since my father was working in Irrgiation Engineering Dept of Andhra Pradesh (AP), from my childhood, I became interested in water resources even before I knew anything about Engineering.

By virtue of my father's job, we moved around different places in AP and got good exposure to many major water resources projects in AP state. Due to these frequent movements, I did my schooling at number of places in AP, viz., Nagarjuna Sagar (upto Standard 1), Narasaropet (Standards 2-3), Macherla (Standards 4-5), Palakol (Standards 6-7), Macherla (Standard 8), Palakol (Standards 9-10) and Vijayawada (Standards 11-12 and UG). My parents played a vital role in shaping my career and they have always encouraged me to 'Go for it'.

I married Padma on 31st January 1991 while doing Ph.D. at IISc, Bangalore. By then she is working for LIC of India in Warangal. We have two children. Our daughter, Sruthi is born on 25th March 1994 and son, Saketh is born on 21st October 1998. Here is our family picture. Another picture of our family.
